The Isle of Wight County Teachers' Association

Welcome to the website for the Isle of Wight County Teachers' Association ( Isle of Wight National Union of Teachers). The National Union of Teachers (NUT) has a strong and growing membership on the Island and we are keen to involve and incorporate the values and views of as many of our members as possible. The main aim of the union is to support members in teaching children. This is an important time for the profession - both nationally as we face the continual attacks, and locally where the challenge of reorganisation has faced us all. The NUT on the Island has a will to continue to take a strong stand to support our members and to influence policy in the interest of  teachers and pupils.
