If you are an NQT who has just started teaching in Medway keep your eyes open on here for details about our NQT event which in recent years has been a very successful night out in a local restaurant.
In the summer we have a trip over to Europe , Brugge being a popular destination.
Medway Nut is affiliated to Love Music Hate Racism playing a part in local activities we are also affiliated to the Medway Trades Council, Unite Against Fascism and the Nicaragua Solidarity Campaign.
A delegation to Tolpuddle really enjoyed the weekend. The Medway banner was taken on the march and we were the only association in the South East represented.
The Medway Association played an active part in the National Strike on the 24th of April , for more details look at the link on the left. Be on the lookout for datails of the new ballot comming up.
Our experienced team of NUT officers, backed up by both local school reps and the South East Regional Office, has a long record of successfully supporting teachers with the problems they may face, large and small.
Medway NUT keeps members up to date on local and national issues through regular newsletters, meetings and reps training.
We have a proud campaigning record, organising to defend comprehensive education, to oppose pay cuts and combat excessive teacher workload.
