Nominations for the Committee
We are looking for people to join our Committee. No previous experience is necessary; just a desire to help the union in its struggle to defend state education and to protect teachers salaries and conditions of service in the face of the government’s attempt to dismantle the welfare state. The Committee meets twice a term. You can be nominated for one of the officer positions (see list below) or else a non-officer Committee member. Please contact the Secretary, Jon Duveen, for more details of what the jobs involve (email@example.com)
Vice-President - Treasurer - Secretary - Assistant Secretary (Distribution) - Assistant Secretary (Membership) - Assistant Secretary (Minutes) - Press Officer - Communications Officer - Equal Opportunities Officer - Health and Safety Officer - Special Needs Officer - Retired Section Secretaries (Huntingdon / Cambridge) - Retired Section Treasurers - 5 non-officer members - 8 Conference Delegates
We are also looking for people to be delegates at next year’s National Conference in Harrogate and are keen to have members who have never attended the Conference before - it’s good fun and all expenses are paid.
If you would like to be nominated, please provide the following information:
- Your name and contact details, and the position for which you wish to be nominated
- Your signature and the names and signatures of a proposer and seconder (both of whom should be members of Cambridgeshire Association);
